A Birthday Poem

There once was a hausfrau named Phoebe

Who left her small kitchen to sight-see

She read about grammar

and made the boys stammer

That stunning young hausfrau named Phoebe!

Btw, the title of the novel by Lillevi Gavell translates to “The mystery of the sleeping-car blonde”. Swedish Wikipedia tells me that Lillevi Gavell is a pseudonym used by author Ingegerd Stadener when she wrote detective stories. This book was published 1961. Thanks for the limerick!

Thanks for the translation! It is, in fact, perfect. Phoebe is a blonde who likes to sleep on trains.
